Thorn & Thimble

Thorn & Thimble
Welcome! I'm Heather (they/she), the plant parent and coffee enthusiast behind Thorn & Thimble. When I first started quilting, I built up piles of quilt tops waiting to be finished. Determined to reduce this stack, I started learning how to free-motion quilt on my domestic machine, a trusty Baby Lock. Now that I've upgraded to a full-size longarm, my goal is to help take your quilts from pieced top to finished heirloom.

With my optional trimming and binding services, you can mail me a pieced top and receive back a completely finished quilt, ready to curl up on the couch with a good book and a cup of hot tea.
About Me
I fell into the quilting world entirely by accident, but now that I'm here, I'm delighted to spend my days stitching, cutting, and (unfortunately) unpicking. My favorite quilt patterns merge traditional and modern aesthetics, which carries over into my longarm quilting.

When I'm not buried under piles of fabric and thread, I can be found lurking under a soft blanket with a cup of iced coffee, or perhaps tending my dozens of houseplants, playing Dungeons & Dragons, or taking a nap.
